Colt Training
The horse
training end of Lorash Horsemanship ranges from starting colts to working
with problem and troubled horses. I have worked with a variety of breeds of
horses and many of the riding disciplines. The one thing I have found to be
a constant with any horse is to earn its trust and then you will gain its
respect. By communicating with a horse using its language, body language, I
have found they are more responsive and willing to do what we ask them to.
This philosophy has worked for me from the most difficult “ruined” horse to
the untouched colt.
Having the experience of
working with over 500 horses, I have been able to develop a program that will
have lasting results with the horses I train. My love for horses started at an
early age and has grown into a passion to help develop a trusting respectful
relationship with horses. Some of my greatest rewards in life are watching my
family grow and teaching a horse to be one with me. One of my favorite quotes is
"there are many horse whisperers, but very few who listen to the horse." By
using a system based on body language and reading the horses' thought, I am able
to communicate effective results and leaving a lasting impression on the horses
I train.
