Horsemanship Clinics
The Lorash
Horsemanship Program has a variety of clinics, lessons, and seminars to fit
individual horsemanship needs.
We host 2 day clinics, 4 day clinics, private, and group lessons. We are
also involved in seminars and demonstrations that help inform horsemen on
being safe and having fun with horses.
The clinics are based on earning trust and gaining respect from the ground
to the saddle. They focus on building a lasting partnership between horse
and rider. Private lessons are designed to fit the needs of the individual,
ranging from problem horses to advanced riding skills. Group lessons
combine riders of similar levels to strengthen the partnership bond and
refine the communication between horse and rider.
Our
clinics not only help horsemen to understand the psychology of the horse, they
allow the horse and rider to experience obstacles and events that will be
encountered in everyday riding. By working with the student and the horse to
overcome obstacles and problems, I am able to accelerate the knowledge that is
learned at our clinics.
When a rider is able to confidently be the leader for the horse the bond between
horse and rider becomes stronger and the students are willing to reach for
higher goals in their horsemanship. This is why I believes so strongly in the
hands on experience students gain by working through problems and learning how
to achieve success no matter what situation they may encounter.
At a clinic in Florida, we demonstrated how to load a
rather uncooperative horse.
The loading took less than 10 minutes (see below):

Foal clinics are now being scheduled.
Topics: Foal handling, Halter training, Beginning Manners and Ground Work,
Trailering mare and foal safely.
